We test out Hemp Bombs CBD e-juice flavors and a few other products from their line including edibles, creams, capsules and more. The Hemp Bombs brand has been popular for a while, so we put their quality to the test. See how they compare with other brands.

Hemp Bombs CBD Review: Are They Still The Bomb Diggity?

Hemp Bombs has become one of the most well-recognized CBD brands over the last few years. They originally caught my attention with their CBD vape juice flavors. Unfortunately since then they have discontinued their e-liquid line due to the PACT Act which places restrictions on vape mail. Today they offer an entire line of hemp-based CBD products including capsules, oil tinctures, creams and more.

All of their products are formulated with CBD isolate derived from pesticide-free industrial hemp. They provide third-party lab results for every batch. Their products are produced in an in-house facility in Tampa, Florida and they adhere to strict quality control standards. They are one of my personal favorite brands for THC-free CBD oils and more.

All of my experiences over the years with Hemp Bombs products have been nothing but positive. I have always and continue to recommend them to people looking for high quality CBD without THC. Recently, they have expanded their line-up with new products and updated their label design.

The products were sent courtesy of Hemp Bombs for the purpose of this review.

Hemp Bombs CBD Oil Tinctures

Hemp Bombs also offers MCT-oil based tinctures for oral use. They contain the same broad spectrum extract as their other products, but are not suitable for vaping. They are currently available in five options—acai berry, orange creamsicle, peppermint, watermelon and flavorless. They also come in a wide range of strengths ranging from 125 to 5000 mg per 60 mL bottle and contain trace amounts of cannabinoids and terpenes according to the lab results.

I tried the watermelon, peppermint and flavorless and enjoyed all of them. They are a lot less sweet than if you were to take their vape juice sublingually, which I occasionally do from time to time. Here is a breakdown of each one and how they tasted.

  • Watermelon – This flavor reminds me of Twizzlers candy. If you know what I’m talking about, or just want a nice watermelon flavor that’s not too sweet, you’ll like this one. It’s very smooth and subtle, but it leaves a fresh watermelon candy aftertaste that I enjoy.
  • Peppermint – Peppermint is a flavor that meshes really well with CBD for some reason. If you want a cool refreshing aftertaste, that neutralizes the CBD taste as much as possible, this is going to be your best bet. If you love mint, you can’t go wrong.
  • Flavorless – There is only a slight aftertaste with this one. Other than that, it’s virtually tasteless. It’s made from CBD isolate, so it’s not bitter. You barely taste the coconut oil or CBD. If you’re looking to mix CBD into your foods, this would be a good choice for that. If “nothing” had a taste, it would probably taste a lot like this tincture.

These are the 3 new flavors that were recently added to their line. I look forward to trying them.

Hemp Bombs CBD Oil

Hemp Bombs CBD oil contains premium CBD isolate extracted from hemp. By using CBD isolate instead of a whole-plant extraction method, they’re able to achieve better flavor. Hemp Bombs is available in some of the highest strengths available containing up to 5,000 mg CBD and comes in watermelon, peppermint and flavorless.

Hemp Bombs CBD Capsules

The High Potency capsules that I received contain 25 mg each. They definitely worked, but aren’t as fun to take as their gummies or vapes. I opened up one of the capsules and it contains a fine white powder, so I couldn’t do my usual sublingual test. The ingredients consist of CBD isolate, Calcium and Magnesium. The capsules are green and about the size of your average vitamin or supplement. They are easy pretty to swallow, which makes them a good way to take CBD under the radar. Hemp Bombs capsules come in two varieties. The 15 mg (original) capsules and the high potency capsules contain 25 mg per capsule. They are available in 15, 30 and 60-count bottles and sample packs of 5. They don’t taste like hemp, in fact they don’t have much of a taste at all. Perfect for people who want to enjoy the benefits of CBD but don’t like the taste of CBD oil.

Hemp Bombs High Potency Capsules

Hemp Bombs introduces their highest potency capsules yet. The Hemp Bombs High Potency capsules contain a proprietary blend of all-natural ingredients, each one providing their own additional therapeutic properties. The bottle comes with 60 CBD capsules for a total of 1500 mg of CBD.

Hemp Bombs CBD Pain Freeze

I’m fortunate enough to not have any chronic pain. I do sometimes get neck cramps from working at a desk, so I applied it to my neck. At first, it just felt like any regular pain cream, but after a minute or two, the icy effect really kicked in! It seems like you don’t have to apply a lot of it to get that experience, because I didn’t even use that much. Though I didn’t have much pain to begin with, it made my neck feel more relaxed. If you are going to take it for severe pain, I would suggest pairing it with a daily serving of one of their vapes or tinctures.

Since trying their pain rub, I recommended it to a close family member. She was the last person I would have thought I’d be telling about Hemp Bombs, but I didn’t want to see her in pain. To make a long story short, when she got the pain rub, I got a phone call. To my surprise, instead of her complaining about how it didn’t work (which I was ready for) she told me how much she loved it. Since then, my aunt has been regularly ordering it and it’s been working for her pain.

Hemp Bombs Pain Freeze comes in four varieties: 100 mg per 1 oz, 200 mg per 40 oz, 200 mg per 3 oz roll-on and a high potency version containing 1000 mg per 40 oz.

Hemp Bombs Pain Rub

Hemp Bombs Pain Rub is a triple-medicating bio-coolant that promotes relief for joint and arthritis pain, muscle aches, back and knee pain. It contains active ingredients like menthol for a full cold therapy profile. It comes in 1 oz and 4 oz containing 50 or 200 mg of CBD. Try Hemp Bombs Pain Rub for a natural choice.

Hemp Bombs Review

If you know anything about Hemp Bombs, it’s about their vape juices. Hemp Bombs is a wonderful CBD company that’s been around for a while but is continuing to grow in popularity year after year.

This brand places extreme importance on their product’s ingredients and quality, which is something I always look for in a CBD brand. There’s nothing more frustrating than a vague company that feels like it’s hiding something. Hemp Bombs, however, has every piece of information you could need right there on their homepage.

Hemp Bomb’s huge line of products is more than worth checking out. From vape juices to tinctures to gummies and topicals, you can find literally anything you’d want on their website.

Their products taste well, come in varying strengths, and are more efficacious than I imagined. Using CBD isolate, I always get a little concerned that the product won’t be as effective for me. Maybe I’m just cynical, or maybe I was turned off by the slightly cheap packaging, but Hemp Bombs, as a whole, ended up impressing me a bit more than most brands do.

Hemp Bomb’s products come in vibrant, explosive packaging that’s hard to miss. (Trust us, you’ll know a Hemp Bomb product when you see one.) On the nose, these CBD products taste better than most, with bright, distinct flavors that hide the hemp almost entirely. All of their products are THC-free, which is ideal for those looking to experience inner support, like reduced stress and more balanced moods, without any psychoactive effects. Unfortunately, their use of CBD isolate makes some products not as effective with pain relief and decompression as others.
